This trip has been made possible thanks to generous support from various sources:
Terry Wright Cycles:
Based in Deeping St. James, this bike shop is one which we highly recommend – even if you have to cycle there from Cambridge just to go! They have a great depth of expertise on everything from toddler pushbikes to high-end racing bikes and have been instrumental to our organisation for the trip as well as generously supporting us through various means. Though we thought publicising them in Asia may not bring much extra business, we were shocked to meet a customer who works in Baku in this shop, who has since helped us himself with some of our Azerbaijani route! We will therefore be proud to talk about this great shop wherever we are in the world, you never know…! Do visit their website which includes all of their contact details at http://www.twcycles.com.
Deutsche Bank have kindly sponsored Nicolas for the trip and subsequent Mandarin lessons in Shanghai to improve on previous teaching undertaken at school and at university.
Trinity College, Cambridge has done similarly for Alex, and we hope to fly the Cambridge flag high as we cross Asia!
Power Traveller, through their sponsoring of the Cambridge University Lightweight Rowing Club, have provided us with 2 solar panels to help keep our technological show on the road. See their website at www.powertraveller.com.
